Exceptionaleconomicuncertainty,risingtensions,majortechnologicaldisruptionsandtheclimateemergencyarewhatchiefeconomistsrefertoasthe"exceptionaluncertainty"facingtheworldtoday,GimHuayNeo,managingdirectoroftheWorldEconomicForum(WEF),toldXinhuainBeijingaheadoftheevent,scheduledfromJune24to26.

AccordingtotheWEF,theworldisundergoingafundamentaleconomictransformationasgeopolitics,technology,sustainability,anddemographicchangesreshapetraditionalgrowthengines.Meanwhile,complexandsharedchallengesindevelopmentandclimatechangerequireurgentcooperation,innovativethinking,andanentrepreneurialspirit.

GongKe,researchleadforthe2025SummerDavostopics,saidthattheentrepreneurialspirit,rootedininnovation,socialresponsibilityandteamwork,playsavitalroleasanewdrivingforceandleaderineconomicdevelopment.

"Entrepreneursintheneweracontributetooptimizingglobalresourceutilizationandpromotingresourcesharing,providinganimportanteconomicfoundationforbuildingacommunitywithasharedfutureforhumankind,"headded.

TheSummerDavosForum,alsoknownasthe16thAnnualMeetingofNewChampionsoftheWEF,carriesthetheme"EntrepreneurshipintheNewEra"thisyear.Theforumwillfocusonfivekeyareas--decipheringtheworldeconomy,outlookonChina,industriesdisrupted,investinginpeopleandtheplanet,andnewenergyandmaterials.

Theeventisexpectedtobringtogetheraround1,800participantsfromover90countriesandregions,accordingtotheorganizers.

LiJiayi,amemberoftheforum'spreparationteam,notedthattheeconomicgrowthmodeldrivenbyscienceandtechnologyhasinjectednewvitalityintoChina'sdevelopment,makingAI,greenenergy,andthecountry'sinnovativemomentumkeytopicsofdiscussionamongparticipants.

HailingChina'sprogressingreengrowth,Neosaidthecountryhasseizedtheglobalenvironmentalcrisisasanopportunitytotransformindustriesandstimulatethegrowthofnewgreenindustries.

AtapressconferencelastweekontheupcomingSummerDavosForum,ChenShuai,anofficialfromtheNationalDevelopmentandReformCommission,reaffirmedChina'scommitmenttopursuinghigh-levelopeningupandtosharingtheopportunitiescreatedbyitsdevelopmentwiththerestoftheworld.

TheAnnualMeetingoftheNewChampionswasestablishedin2007throughacollaborationbetweentheWEFandChina.Whatbeganasaninitiativetospotlightemergingeconomiesandfuture-orientedbusinesseshasgrownintoaglobalplatformforeconomicdialogue.

Nowinits16thedition,the2025meetingreinforcestheforum'scommitmenttofosteringinternationalcooperationandaddressingcomplexglobalissues.
