"Mekong Children's Heart Care Project" Officially Launched in Phnom Penh, Cambodia!
On July 30, the "Mekong Children’s Heart Care Project" was officially launched in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Over the next year, medical teams will conduct cardiac screenings for at least 50,000 children at schools and in villages across Cambodia and Laos. Additionally, at least 70 children suffering from congenital heart disease will receive free surgical operations.
The project will be jointly implemented by Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS), the Mekong Institute, and the Ministries of Health of Cambodia and Laos — giving more children a healthy heartbeat.
